Nakul is a scientist specialising in AAV analytical development, with a strong focus on upstream and downstream process support for preclinical programmes. He has hands-on experience optimising AAV production workflows, including cell culture, transfection strategies and scale-up, as well as downstream purification using chromatographic platforms such as AKTA systems.

Nakul develops and qualifies robust analytical and QC assays to assess AAV capsid integrity, genome packaging and product quality, using techniques including ddPCR, qPCR, ELISA, SDS-PAGE and mass photometry. He plays a key role in ensuring data integrity, assay transfer to CROs and CDMOs, and cross-functional collaboration. Nakul holds a PhD in Cancer and Nanoparticle Research and an MSc in Molecular Medicine and Cancer Research.
